Contractual Physical Therapist – Elementary School
Position: Contractual / Per-Diem Physical Therapist
Location: Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School, Cambridge, Ma.
Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based therapy services on a contractual basis for elementary students. Sessions are scheduled per student, supporting mobility, participation, and access to educational activities in alignment with IEP goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct or consultative physical therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, occupational therapists, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress planning.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and session notes according to Massachusetts regulations.
Qualifications
- Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required.
- Experience with pediatric populations or school-based therapy preferred.
- Knowledge of the IEP process and educational documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Conditions
- Contractual position currently providing 30 minutes of weekly physical therapy for one student.
